The tassels are handmade, delicate little accents - they unravel when exposed to moisture and should not be used to pull the bracelet open and closed.

You can best preserve your jewelry by removing it before sleeping and showering, and reducing exposure to sweat, salt water, and chemicals in chlorine, tanners, perfume, makeup, and lotions.
